Angela Edwards lives and works as an artist in the North East of England and specialises in landscape painting. She worked in London for many years for various publishing houses and design studios, working for clients such as Frederick Warne redesigning and illustrating the classic Beatrix Potter characters 'Peter Rabbit and Friends'. She loves painting in oils and using bold marks and harmonious colours to capture the drama of the landscape.
"For as long as I can remember I've always loved drawing and painting and have been fortunate enough to have had a long and enjoyable career as an artist, I especially enjoy painting the landscape.
Now living and working back in the North East, I am surrounded by beautiful countryside and coastline which is a never ending source of inspiration for me.
I work into a painting using a palette knife and oil paints in a heavy impasto style making bold marks on the canvas. I love using the texture of the paints to capture the drama of an expanse of sky, moorland or stretch of beach".
